My name is G.L.Yancy, and I am thrilled by the opportunity to entertain you.
I've spent my entire life in the Deep South, y'all, and it's a lot of fun for me to be able to share characters with you that are inspired by my experiences. I get asked a lot who I read. Well, I read a lot of books by many different authors, but I do have some favorites: Karin Slaughter, Fannie Flagg, Armistead Maupin, Stephen King, Deen Koontz (just to name a few).
When planning my first book, I knew from the start that I would be writing a book series, as I intended to explore the many personalities and idiosyncrasies of these characters for years. After all, aren't we all a bit too complex to have our entire existence confined to a story taking up less than 400 pages worth of space?
Anyway, I hope my characters become family to you, like the characters on Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless have become to their fans. Sign up to participate in this blog so we can discuss specific character traits, book locations, and plot details featured in the book series.
