Wading in the Ick
As many of you know, I have been working for months on Woven Branches, Book 3, The Book of Ruth. This is a very personal book for me. I thought I'd give y'all a little insight into why ...
Book writing is an art form, and I believe, that above all else, art should make a person feel something. Goodness, has this book made me feel things. I expect that y'all will be entertained, appalled, and perhaps a little hopeful after reading book three.
The soap opera genre has never been shy to present controversial subject matter to its audience, and my Southern Serial is no different. In fact, while writing Woven Branches, I often find myself saying, "Yep, we're going there".
In many ways, The Book of Ruth is my story, presented in a dramatic way, spread out across multiple characters. In order to tell this story properly, I have been forced to wade through a lot of ick. Honestly, I haven't had a single regret.
I am very proud of this book, as I have been of the entire Woven Branches series. I can't thank you all enough for your continued love and support. It is a unique privilege to be allowed to entertain an audience, and it is my distinct pleasure to continue to do so.
